Suffolk Police charge men with begging offences in Bury and Newmarket

Two Romanian men have been charged with begging offences.

Suffolk Police arrested the London-based pair, aged 46 and 35, after incidents in Bury St Edmunds and Newmarket on Saturday, February 9.

The following day, Ioan Maldovan, 46, of Ruskin Avenue, London and Cosmin Lesca, 35, also of Ruskin Avenue, London, were charged with begging and were released on bail.

The terms of the bail say the men must not return to Suffolk.

The men are due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 4.
