A trip down memory lane and a slice of birthday cake were on the menu for a Brownie pack’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

About 50 current and former members of the 14th Bury St Edmunds Brownies flocked to a party at their base at Westgate Primary School.

They took a step back in time as they looked through scrapbooks and photo albums - some going back to the unit’s formation in 1976. Also on display were Brownie handbooks and old uniforms from the last four decades.

Everyone tucked into a slice of birthday cake.

For those who were unable to attend the party, the scrapbooks and photos will be on display at the end of term barbecue on July 20 at 6.30pm at the school. Email bse_14_brownies@yahoo.co.uk for more details.
