Martha’s hair helps charities
Two young people’s cancer charities have benefitted from Martha Goodwin’s decision to have her long hair cut short.
Martha, 10, and her mum Winky Goodwin were looking at the Teenage Cancer Trust’s website when they saw a story about an older girl having her hair cut to raise money.
Martha told her mum ‘I’d like to do that’ and has so far raised £1,200 for the charity. Winky said: “We’re immensely proud of her.”
The trust also put them in touch with the Little Princess Trust, which makes wigs for children who have had chemotherapy, and Martha has give them 10in of hair.
All her family were there for the moment of truth at Angus Rust hairstylists in Bury St Edmunds, where Martha and Winky get their hair done. You can boost her donation at www.justgiving.com/martha-goodwin
