A man from Newmarket is running the Virgin Money London Marathon in aid of Our Special Friends.
Nik Chapman is running to support the charity despite suffering a stroke in 2016 and dislocating toes when training for the marathon last year.
Belinda Johnston, founder of Our Special Friends, said Nik was the first person to run the London Marathon for the charity.

Mr Chapman said he was determined to give his sponsors a run for their money.
Our Special Friends helps people continue to benefit from animal companionship by providing practical and emotional support during illness, bereavement or other crises.
