Man taken to hospital after car collides with wall of house in Mildenhall

A car collided with the wall of a house in Trinity Avenue, Mildenhall, on Wednesday at about 4.45pm.

A man, aged in his 70s, was taken to West Suffolk Hospital with chest pain.

A gas outlet was damaged and emergency services cordoned off the area.

The gas supply was isolated until National Grid arrived.

A spokesman for Forest Heath District Council said: “Our building control team was called and we went out to inspect the damage to make sure that there was no risk of structural collapse.

“It was deemed okay and was left with the owner to arrange repairs.”
