Man stabbed twice in Thetford

A 25-year-old Lithuanian man was found with serious stab wounds in Thetford on New Year’s Eve.

He was discovered with two stab wounds to his abdomen at the junction of York Way and Canterbury Way just before 10pm.

A volunteer doctor from emergency medical charity, Suffolk Accident Rescue Service was mobilised to the incident.

The man was subsequently taken to the West Suffolk Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery.

A spokesman for Norfolk Police said the man is currently in a stable condition.
