Man offered girl sweets in Bacton incident say Suffolk Police

POLICE are investigating an incident in which a 10 year old girl was chased after a man tried to entice her into his car.

The girl was on her bike at Pound Hill, Bacton, at around 6.55pm on Monday when a man in a car approached her.

The car pulled into a layby from the direction of Haughley and the driver spoke to the girl through the passenger window, asking her to get in and offering her sweets.

She cycled off but the man is reported to have got out of the car and ran after her.

Police say he was driving a small dark green car with two doors which had a silver badge on the centre of the bonnet and a silver line along the side.

It had silver wheels and a red tax disc holder and a possible T registration.

Police say the man was white, in his 50s, more than 6 foot tall, of medium to heavy build with grey balding hair and was wearing a a white t-shirt with blue and red circles and blue jeans.
