A man was hospitalised after colliding with railings outside a dental surgery on Angel Hill before crossing the road and hitting the front of The One Bull Pub, yesterday evening.

At 8.25pm police responded to reports of a collision involving a blue Honda.

Ambulance and fire services also attended,

Police have said damage was caused to railings outside the dental surgery, the wall of the pub on the opposite side of Angel Hill and at least one other car.

David Marjoram, owner of The One Bull, said: “I do not think there’s to much damage some lime plaster and a bit of movement inside - we will need to get a survey done.”

Mr Marjoram said he did not believe anyone was hurt in the collision. He said the driver seemed shaken and that he hoped he suffered no subsequent problems.

The pub will be open as normal.

Angel Hill was closed to traffic for approximately two hours.
