Man freed from van after West Stow road collision




A road in West Stow was closed following a road incident where a man had to be freed from his van.

The incident happened in Chimney Mills Road this afternoon (Friday, October 4), where a VW Transporter van left the road and hit a tree.

Police, air ambulance, EEAST paramedics, a volunteer team from SARS and the fire service were called to the scene at around 12.50pm.

The driver was conscious but had to be freed from his vehicle by the fire service and was taken to hospital and believed to be in a serious but stable condition.

The road was closed whilst the van was recovered and police are still making inquiries in the area.
