Arrest made in Bury St Edmunds after a man was found with head injuries between Rickinghall and Finningham




An arrest has been made in Bury St Edmunds after a 30-year-old man was found with head injuries yesterday.

The man was found between Finningham and Rickinghall after 5.30am yesterday by a woman who was driving past.

She then took him to his friend's house in Rickinghall and left.

Police later arrested a 54-year-old man on suspicion of assault and he was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

The injured man was taken to West Suffolk Hospital where he is currently in a stable condition.

Police also issued an appeal yesterday to trace the woman who found him and she has since come forward.
