Man dies from Hawstead crash injuries


A man has died from injuries he received in a serious crash in Hawstead last month.

Police were called to reports that a vehicle had collided with a tree near The Pound, in Hawstead, at around 11.20am on May 14.

The driver was taken to West Suffolk Hospital, in Bury St Edmunds, where he died from his injuries on Tuesday (June 9).

A woman passenger was uninjured in the collision.

Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
