90-year-old man dies after Gazeley crash sends car into pond




A 90-year-old man died yesterday after crashing in Gazeley, near Newmarket.

The man has been named as Reginald Gardner from Moulton.

Police attended the crash at 12.25 on Friday after reports of a car having left the road and gone into a pond.

Mr Gardner was then pulled from the water and taken to West Suffolk Hospital, but has sadly died, three days later.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the accident, which involved a blue Nissan Note or the moments leading up to it to call 101 and quote the incident number CAD 132 and the date of February 21.
