Man who died in A140 Stoke Ash collision is named by police

Lewis Jarrett, from Ipswich, was initially taken to Ipswich Hospital in a critical condition following the collision on Sunday and was later transferred to Addenbrooke’s Hospital.

He sadly passed away at the hospital on Wednesday.

Police were called at around 3am on Sunday July 27 to reports of a collision involving a Ford C-Max and a man, who wass believed to have alighted another vehicle, on the northbound carriageway close to the White Horse public house.

Police and ambulance personnel attended the scene where the man was discovered to have sustained serious leg and head injuries.

Police are renewing their appeal for witnesses to the collision.
