Man charged with GBH after assault on 15-year-old boy in Stowmarket


A 22-year-old man has been charged with grievous bodily harm after an incident in Stowmarket at the weekend.

Joshua Williams, of Kent Road, Stowmarket, appeared before Ipswich Magistrates Court yesterday.

The charge follows an assault on a 15-year-old boy at the recreation ground in Recreation Road at around 7.25pm on Saturday.

The teenager was taken to hospital with serious head and facial injuries and was released yesterday.

A man was later arrested and taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Williams was remanded to appear before Ipswich Crown Court on Monday, July 30.
