Man arrested on suspicion of GBH in Bury St Edmunds

A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of GBH and criminal damage after an incident in Bury St Edmunds on December 28.

A 23-year-old man sustained a serious injury to his wrist, that required surgery, after going through a shop window during an altercation in St John’s Street around 12.30am.

Police issued CCTV images of a man they wanted to speak to yesterday and a man handed himself into Bury Police Station last night, Tuesday January 11.

The 24-year-old was arrested and bailed until March 16 to allow further enquiries to be carried out.

Police are continuing to ask any witnesses to the incident to call PC Shelley Starling at Bury St Edmunds on 101 quoting crime number 37/23218/15.
