Man arrested after Elmswell hammer incident released under investigation




A man arrested following an incident in a village on Saturday has been released under investigation.

Police were called at 12.30pm to concerns for safety in Thedwastre Close, Elmswell.

It was reported that a man with a hammer outside a property was making threats to members of the public.

Officers arrested a man, in his 50s, on suspicion of affray and harassment.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre.

The man has been released under investigation.
