Man, 22, appears in court charged in connection with armed robbery in Lakenheath
A 22-year-old man has appeared in court in connection with an armed robbery at a pharmacy in Lakenheath.
Daniel Mitson, of St John’s Close, Mildenhall, was arrested in Lakenheath on Saturday afternoon following the incident on Friday.
Police were called at 3.20pm to reports that a man entered the pharmacy, in High Street, armed with a knife and stole cash from the till before running off.
Mitson was also charged with two further counts of robbery.
The first relates to an incident at a store in Ashley, Cambridgeshire, on February 23 where cash was stolen. The second involved a man, who was armed with a knife and stole cash and two bottles of whisky from a convenience store, in King Street, Mildenhall, on February 24 at 9.55pm.
Mitson appeared at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody to appear at Ipswich Crown Court on March 22.
