SOLICITOR firms in Bury St Edmunds and across West Suffolk will be forfeiting their fees and giving up their time for charity.

Firms will be holding Wills Weeks throughout June for St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury. Last year the scheme raised £27,000 for the hospice.

People are being urged to sign up now at – and they will then receive a memory jog by phone, letter or mail a few weeks before Wills Week reminding them to make an appointment.

Margaret Lee, hospice legacies officer, said: “Getting a will drafted protects your family and gives everyone peace of mind, while your donation will ensure the hospice can continue to offer its vital services to those who need our help.”
