Main sponsor of Bury Free Press Business Awards 2019 revealed

Suffolk Park in Bury St Edmunds has this week been unveiled as overall main sponsor of the 2019 Bury Free Press Business Awards.

The awards are in their final planning phase and will be launched in the spring, with details of how you and your business can be involved.

Suffolk Park is being developed by Jaynic. Its involvement with West Suffolk – and its previous business incarnation as Caris-brooke Investments – saw it develop Haverhill Business Park, before moving on to Haverhill Research Park and it is now at the forefront of one of the largest business developments in the area.

Jaynic’s development director Ben Oughton told the Bury Free Press: “Suffolk Park is a very strategic location in terms of road network and Bury is a very lovely place to live for any company recruiting. It’s an appealing place to work and live.”

Jaynic is now keen to secure its part in the fabric of the business community in West Suffolk and build even better relationships with some of the key players in industry here.

“The opportunity to be the main sponsor of these awards allows Jaynic to put its brand ‘on the map’ and equally importantly to celebrate entrepreneurial success and achievement in Bury St Edmunds, the commercial lifeblood of West Suffolk,” added Mr Oughton.

Suffolk Park has outline planning consent for up to 2 million square feet of office, research & development, light industrial, warehouse and trade counter uses.

Approximately 37 acres of the site has Enterprise Zone status providing an unrivalled opportunity for aspiring businesses to expand or relocate.

Suffolk Park has already attracted two major local companies. Treatt plc will relocate there in 2020 with its new global HQ and Sealey – one of the largest suppliers of garage and workshop equipment in the UK – has bought 7.5 acres for future expansion.

The Bury Free Press Business Awards are now in their eighth year and bring together excellence in the business community from all sectors.

There are 12 awards for 2019, including Business of the Year, Lifetime Achievement and the new Rural Enterprise Award for this year, sponsored by Fornham Business Court.

The awards culminate in a glitzy awards ceremony at The Apex in October – details of how you can nominate businesses and individuals for awards and attend the awards night are online via www.iliffemediapromotions.co.uk/bury-business-awards/
