Maglia Rosso, the cycle shop and country cafe that won Best Start Up Award at the BFP Business Awards last year, is celebrating its first year with three days of special events next weekend.

Barry and Matt Denny set the unique venue up in the former Metcalfe Arms pub in Hawstead to create a venue for cyclists.

Next Friday evening (April 24) they have a social event from 7.30pm, featuring a Casino-style Roulette table and Croupier as well as other attractions.

The main day will be the Saturday, with test ride cycles being made available by Raleigh, Scott and Merida, special offers on other merchandise, cyclo cross and Watt Bike challenges and even a Bouncy Castle for the youngsters.

This will be followed on the Sunday morning with escorted rides at 25 and 50 miles, with the shop special offers continuing.
