A touch of luxury and an exclusive peek into what life at Ickworth House would have been like in the past are on offer at a charity event this month.
The ‘Lunch at the West Wing’ event, on 28 September, is in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care.
Bridget Alexander, who is organising the event alongside Katrina Morris said: “The day will start with shopping and coffee then, after lunch, there will be a talk from a National Trust representative.”
Then, there will be an exclusive opportunity to experience an exclusive preview tour of ‘Ickworth Lives’ - a representation of Edwardian technology and domestic life in the servants’ quarters below the Rotunda – before the exhibition opens to the public in March 2012.
Tickets cost £35 and include a two-course lunch, tea and coffee, National Trust tour, the Ickworth Lives preview tour and shopping at a range of high-quality stalls. To buy tickets, contact Bridget on 01284 749009 or email email@example.com
