A man was taken to hospital this morning after a lorry got stuck on a roundabout in Thetford.

Police and ambulance crews were called just before 4.30am to the incident on the A11 London Road roundabout, near Sainsbury’s, where a lorry had come off the road and got stuck on the roundabout.

The single passenger, a man in his 20s, was treated at the scene after complaining of back pain. He was taken to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.

The driver is not believed to have received any injuries.

Due to the position of the lorry the road was not blocked during the incident, which was cleared by around 6.30am.
