BBC World Affairs Editor John Simpson has had to postpone a planned talk at Bury St Edmunds Theatre Royal this evening.
It will now be held next Friday (February 1).
Theatre press officer Christine Irvine said: “John has been sent away on BBC assignment, so hopefully next week he will have even more exciting stories to tell.
“All ticket bookers have been contacted personally by the Theatre, but if anyone else is interested in booking tickets for next week, they can call the Theatre Royal Box Office on 01284 769505.”
Mr Simpson, 68, has worked for the BBC since 1970 during which time he has reported from more than 120 countries and 30 war zones.
