FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 6 – PETE OXLEY & NIC MEIER (Hunter Club, Bury, 8pm, £12. Details www.headhunterslive.org) Pete Oxley returns to his former hometown with fellow guitarist Nic Meier for an evening of spellbinding, virtuosic guitar duets.
MACIEK PYSZ TRIO (Stoke By Nayland Hotel, 8pm, £15 . Details: www.dovbear.co.uk/fleece) A blend of world music, jazz and fusion led by rising star of acoustic guitar Maciek Pysz, playing tracks from his acclaimed album A Journey, featuring Yuri Goloubev (bass) and Asaf Sirkis (drums) (also see Nov 8 and 12).
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 8 – MACIEK PYSZ TRIO (Fludyer Arms, Felixstowe, 8pm, free. Details: www.jazzeast.vweb.co.uk) The rising star of acoustic guitar continues the East Anglian leg of his tour.
GARY GRIFFITH QUARTET (The Fox, Bury, 7.15pm, free) Funky smooth jazz led by percussionist Griffith with Myke Clifford (sax/flute), Duncan Fairweather (keyboards) and Joel Humann (bass).
STEWART CURTIS (The Cock Inn, Clare, 8pm, £10. Details: www.jazz-nights.com) Saxophonist and flautist known for his eclectic mix of Klezmer, Arabic and straight-ahead flavours, with the Roger Odell Trio.
ANDY BOWIE QUARTET (Tram Shed, Cambridge, 8.30, free) Tenor saxophone-playing philosophy professor leads a quartet presenting a connoisseur’s choice from the modern jazz repertoire.
MONDAY, NOVEMBER 9 – LEROY JONES (The Apex, Bury, 7.30pm, £21.50. Details: www.theapex.co.uk) Fine New Orleans-based trumpeter renowned for his work with Dr John and Harry Connick Jnr. Tours with a UK band including vocalists Ian Shaw and Joe Stilgoe.
OPEN MIC NIGHT/JAM (Maddermarket Theatre Bar, Norwich, doors 7pm, music 8pm, £5/free to participants. Details: norwichjazzclub.co.uk) All musicians and vocalists welcome to this supportive and friendly monthly open mic/jazz jam.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 11 – HARRY GREENE COLLECTIVE (The LP, Bury, 8-10pm, free) Monthly residency for superb young saxophonist and guitarist Greene and his band.
LAURA ZAKIAN (Lakeside Country Club, Lyng, 8pm, £12. Details: www.lakeside-jazz.com) With her show Finding Frank, vocalist Zakian explores the Sinatra songbook, with Simon Brown (piano), Ivars Galenieks (bass) and Brian McAllister (drums).
