West Suffolk College’s copse was the scene of murder, robbery and a car crash on Wednesday, but nobody was hurt.

It was the chance for more than 140 forensic science and public services students to investigate crime scenes dreamt up by their lecturers.

Claire Watkins, the college’s year-two applied science (forensics) course director, said: “The day is designed to give them hands on experience of the kinds of work they will be doing.”
