Isabella Welch’s Christmas card design for Pakenham WI has proved so successful that the first print run of 500 sold out in just two days.

They had to have more printed for sale at the village Post office to raise money for Pakenham WI and St Mary’s Church.

Mary Kirby, Pakenham WI president, said: “We did a card last year just for us and people asked to buy it, so this year we decided to do one for the village.

“We did a competition in the Flower and Produce show, thinking someone would submit a photo and little dreaming that this little girl of nine would produce a lovely picture.”
