Inquest opens into death of Bury St Edmunds woman


An inquest has opened into the death of a woman from Bury St Edmunds.

Joan Walker, 82, died at West Suffolk Hospital on August 31 following a fall at her home in Bury.

She suffered kidney failure and hip and wrist fractures.

Her cause of death was given as chronic kidney disease and heart failure.

Assistant coroner Dr Dan Sharpstone adjourned the hearing at Bury today to allow further inquiries to be made.
