Husband found wife’s body in remote barn


The husband of a Beck Row woman discovered her body hangingin a remote barn when he went out to look for their pet dog an inquest has heard.

Lynne Hingston, 54, of The Street, Beck Row. had struggled with anxiety and depression for a number of years the inquest was told.

She had taken the family’s pet dog out for a walk on April 22 and her husband Graham had gone to look for the animal after it was reported wandering by itself the inquest heard on Monday.

Assistant Suffolk Coroner Dr Daniel Sharpstone said Mr Hingston found his wife in the barn at Fen Lane, Holywell Row. A post mortem examination said that her death was due to hanging.

Dr Sharpstone said: “It appears that there were issues over a number of years to do with anxiety and depression and, despite best efforts, my conclusion is that she took her own life.”
