There is still time to sign up for Sunday’s Race for Life in Bury St Edmunds, with registration staying open until midnight tomorrow.
The women and girls-only event, which raises tens of thousands of pounds for Cancer Research UK each year, takes place at Nowton Park and features both a 5k and 10k route.
Both ‘races’ will get underway at 11am, but participants are expected to arrive earlier for a warm-up event which is due to start at about 10.15am.
Event manager Leander Platten said he hoped this year’s event in Bury would raise £135,000, with almost 1,600 people have signed up so far.
