Householder disturbs burglar in Bury

Police are appealing for information after a burglary at a home in Highbury Crescent, Bury St Edmunds, early this morning when the householder disturbed the offender.

At about 4.45am this morning, a resident heard a noise coming from downstairs and went to investigate. They saw movement in the outside porch near the front door and shouted out at the offender who then ran off.

The insecure porch had been entered but no further entry to the house was gained and nothing was stolen.
