A POPULAR hotel which was saved from closure earlier this year has now submitted plans to extend.
The Limes Hotel, in Needham Market, has submitted a planning application to Mid Suffolk District Council to convert a 350msq storage barn into 12 en suite hotel bedrooms.
The grade II listed building, in High Street, currently has 11 rooms.
The planned extension into the barn would double the number of hotel rooms and create two extra part-time jobs.
The hotel also has a restaurant and two bars, and can be used for conferences and weddings.
The hotel was closed on February 28 after the Elizabeth Hotels Group, which owned the establishment, went into administration.
It was bought at auction and re-opened in April, much to the relief of many customers and locals.
