STAFF at West Suffolk Hospital have received two national awards for their work to ensure patient safety.
The hospital collected two winners’ prizes and was highly commended in two other categories in the Safety Express Awards in London last week.

The hospital was also recognised for implementing the programme which helped reduce falls, pressure ulcers, urinary tract infections and blood clots in four key wards.
Nichole Day, chief nurse, and Dermot O’Rioran, medical director, were highly commended for their work in ensuring a culture around patient safety.
