ST NICHOLAS Hospice Care has been praised by watchdogs.

The Care Quality Commission, which regulates the hospice inpatient Sylvan Ward and its community hospice team, visited the Bury St Edmunds facility last month as part of its statutory bi-annual review process.

In its report, the commission found the hospice was compliant and met every essential standard of quality and safety without exception. After speaking to people who use the hospice, the report said: “Everyone spoke highly of the individual treatment and respect they were afforded.”
