A Suffolk artist has unveiled a painting to liven up an area of West Suffolk Hospital.

Claudia Boese, a German-born painter, has donated a large oil painting, featuring a tractor, to the Paintings in Hospitals charity,

She said: “Since moving to Suffolk, the county has been both a source of inspiration for my work. I feel the county has been very kind to me and I therefore decided to donate one of my large paintings to charity.”

The hospital is the eastern arm of the charity and its collection has more than 300 paintings, prints, photographs and textile works.

Jan Bloomfield, executive director of workforce and communications at the hospital, said: “The works of art really help to brighten the corridors, in turn impropving the environment for everyone using the hospital.”
