ONLY one ward at West Suffolk Hospital was still closed to new admissions yesterday following an outbreak of the highly contagious norovirus.

Ward G5 closed on Monday and yesterday still had three patients showing symptoms which include diarrhoea and vomiting. To prevent spread of infection wards close to admissions and to transfers of patients to other wards or institutions. As we reported last week wards G4 and F10 were closed on December 20 and F3 on December 29.
