Haverhill man jailed for knife and drug offences in Bury St Edmunds




A man has been jailed for four months for knife and drug offences in Bury St Edmunds.

Jordan Carr, 29, of no fixed address and from the Haverhill area, was convicted after he pleaded guilty to two offences on Friday at Ipswich Magistrates' Court to possession of a knife and being in possession of class B drugs.

Police had reason to stop him in the town on Thursday, March 21 in Westley Road where he was arrested.

He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation Centre for questioning and he was subsequently charged with possession of cannabis and possession of a knife.

He was remanded overnight and appeared before Ipswich Magistrates' Court on Friday morning (March 22) when he was given a four month jail sentence.
