Residents are being invited to have their say on Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre to help decide its future direction.

St Edmundsbury Borough Council is running a survey for people to comment about the fayre and will use the feedback as part of its review of next year’s event and future direction.

Bosses say they are ‘not looking to scrap the fayre’ but want to establish its long-term strategic direction. The council is investigating running the fayre as a commercial event, establishing an ‘arms length vehicle’ to run it and consider it in relation to Ourburystedmunds and the emerging Destination Management Organisation. It will also look at health and safety, parking, park and ride service as well as marketing.

Businesses are invited to attend a workshop at The Apex on September 22 at 6pm. To attend, email ben.smith@westsufffolk.gov.uk

The survey runs until September 25 and to comment, visit https://www.snapsurveys.com/wh/s.asp?k=144110654529
