THE young at heart will get another chance to indulge for charity as a toy auction takes place this weekend.

Eriswell Hall Barns Auction Centre in Lakenheath is holding a toy auction tomorrow from 12.30pm.

The auction comes after a bumper collection of vintage toys, trains and collectibles went under the hammer in January.

Director Mike Almond says the success of that event had prompted scores of generous donators to dust off their childhood relics and have them auctioned off for the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices Treehouse Appeal.

“Since the last auction we have just been inundated with donations for the appeal.

“We’ve got some really interesting lots down here and we’re hoping to raise a lot of money again,” he said.

TV’s David Palmer - known for his appearances on Bargain Hunt and Cash in the Attic - will again be in charge.

A car boot sale is being held at Eriswell Hall on the same day, starting at 7am with proceeds going to the Treehouse Appeal.

Trucks, porcelain dolls and a vintage dolls house will also be part of the auction.
