An increase in business demand year on year has seen Polstead Press in Stowmarket take the plunge and invest in new machinery.

The firm has seen continued growth in 2011 and 2012 .

Now bosses have decided to invest £25,000 in the Duplo 445 IFS to increase speed and quality.

This machine will cut, score, fold and trim up to 50 sheets a minute, replacing three old machines and stream lining the finishing end of its production run.

“All of this is automated, so once the operator has set up the correct parameters they are free to get on with another job” said Chris Hutchinson Director.

“We’ve been increasing in size year on year, in fact May this year was our busiest to date.

“This is why we felt now was the right time to invest.”
