THE future of another one of Brandon’s pubs has been put in doubt after its owners put it on the market.
The Crown, in Crown Street, has been put up for sale with a guide price of £175,000 by Greene King.
A spokeswoman for the pub giant said: “We can confirm that the Crown in Brandon is on the market as a public house.
“Following an extensive property review it was felt that the pub did not fit into our long-term plans.
“The Crown will remain open for business until a suitable buyer is found. We look forward to serving our customers in the meantime.”
The news follows the re-opening of The Flintknappers in Market Hill this month and the closure of the Duke of Wellington last year.
