The Green Light Trust, environmental education charity, has a new patron.
Mark Pendlington, chairman of the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, has become patron of the Lawshall-based trust, which works with vulnerable young people and adults.
He also chairs the Green Economy Pathfinder and is group director at Anglian Water.
Mark said: “My passion for a flourishing and healthy countryside and for the power of our precious green spaces to nurture people and nature, goes back many years.
“I am already in no doubt about the fantastic work being done and the potential that exists at the Green Light Trust.
“I have seen evidence of amazing achievements, heard examples of lives being transformed and met some really inspiring people.”
Heather Murphy, chairman of the charity’s trustees, said:“He will bring passion, knowledge and, importantly, increase the profile of our work, making the next 25 years even more successful.”
