A picturesque garden was in perfect harmony for a sunny Sunday.
Jane Newton and her family opened up their dellightful garden in Forenham St Genevieve on Sunday to raise money for County Upper Schools Parent Teacher Association.
They raised an impressive total of £680 by selling plants, teas and coffees, and having students past and present provide musical entertainment. Performing were a jazz band, a string quartet, an accapella group of four and a pianist.
The event attracted more than 100 visitors.
Mrs Newton said; “Overall the event was successful, the garden is gorgeous so it was nice to show it off to everyone.”
She added that County Upper School’s music department was an important aspect of school life which was shown by the number of students and former students who had become involved and entertained the crowds for three hours.
