New Moreton Hall Pre-school was given a cheque by Cllr Pat Warby last week.

The £1,000 will help refit the garden and play area with two climbing frames, swings, slides and other play equipment for the children.

The Moreton Hall councillor gave the school the cheque through the Bury St Edmunds Locality Fund and said she was more than happy to do so.

She said: “They had already raised money themselves, and I went down there for a fund raising event. They are a very good pre-school and I’m glad I could help the children.”
