GALLERY: Pupils in Bury St Edmunds don colourful costumes for World Book Day
A wealth of literary characters have swept through the corridors of Bury St Edmunds schools for World Book Day.
Pupils across the town have dressed as their favourite book character for the reading initiative.
There were double celebrations at Abbots Green Primary, in Airfield Road as it relaunched its library, which features a reading tree, bean bags and a pirate ship.
The relaunch is part of the school’s ‘reading for pleasure and writing for purpose’ week with each class creating their own book to keep in the library for future years.
Parents were invited into school to share a story and hot chocolate during the week.
