Have your say

Residents of Thetford’s Abbey Estate had the chance to enjoy a day full of fun activities while learning more about services on offer in their area from Flagship Homes.

More than 100 people attended a community fun day on Thursday 20 August, organised by Flagship’s local housing team, where families could take part in competitions, play games and enjoy tasty treats courtesy of an ice cream van.

There was also a lively demonstration from Ishin Ryu Jujitsu, while Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service brought along one of their boats and a fire engine before joining children in a friendly five-a-side football match. Family favourite ‘Shrek’ even made an appearance!

As well as being able to speak to local Flagship staff, residents were able to meet representatives from The Prince’s Trust, Norfolk Police and Breckland District Council who were on hand to give advice on issues such as housing, fly tipping and community services.

Thomas Horsfall, Flagship Community Manager, said: “We were thrilled that so many people were able to take part in the fun day and we hope everyone had a great time.

“It was important to us that we provided an event which brought the community together but also offered residents the chance to learn more about us and other local agencies and groups.”
