Needham Market recycling centre: Further tests needed to determine cause of death of newborn baby
Further tests will be required to determine the cause of death of a newborn baby whose body was found in Needham Market last Thursday.
A Home Office post-mortem was carried out yesterday (Tuesday, May 19), with the initial findings proving to be undetermined, pending further investigations which Suffolk Police say may take some time.
Officers were called shortly after 3pm on Thursday, May 14 to Sackers recycling centre in Ipswich Road, where the body of the baby girl was found.
A police spokesman said: "Detectives remain very concerned for the wellbeing of the baby’s mother and are encouraging anyone with information that may be able to help identify her to come forward, even if it is with concerns for a family member or friend."
