Fund-raising jam to help refugee crisis at Bury St Edmunds skate park

Bury Skate Park Experience is holding a Fund-raising Jam to help raise money and collect items for the refugee crisis.

It will take place this Sunday, September 13, from 5pm to 8pm at the skate park in Olding Road.

Open to the skate park community as well as anyone who wishes to support the crisis, the event will include a rail jam and DJs playing throughout the evening.

The idea was formulated by some of the young people who use the park, and was organised by the trustees and user group of the Bury Skate Park Experience charity.

Cash donations are welcome, as are physical donations of dried foodstuffs such as rice, clothing, toiletries, shoes and tents.

All cash donations will be collected on the night and given to support Unicef’s work in refugee camps in the Middle East.

All physical donations will go to the nearest Cal Aid Centre, to be taken to Calais to support refugees in need.
