A PARALYSED man who was left stranded in Kuwait is back in England after a massive fund-raising effort.
The family of Alister Masters, pictured, 33, from Brandon, have been frantically raising money to get him home after he was involved in a road accident on April 24.
He was left with a broken back, stretched spine and collapsed lung in the incident.
His brother, Ashley, said the family had reached their target, spending £12,000 on a commercial flight to get him back into the country last night.
“It’s been non-stop, round-the-clock work to get the money – like a full-time job,” he said.
Ali is now in Addenbrooke’s Hospital where doctors will reassess his condition.
