THE sun shone on Stowmarket Football Club at the weekend as families enjoyed a fund-raising fun day.
The fun-filled event, held on Sunday afternoon at the club’s ground, had something for people of all ages to enjoy.
The club organised the event to raise money to refurbish the clubhouse and collected £1,873 on the day.
About 300 people turned up to enjoy live music, including a set by Rickie Arthur, a Michael Bublé tribute act, as well as children’s activities and a number of stalls.
There was also a barbecue and a disco to keep people partying late into the evening.
Terry Graham, one of the event organisers, said: “It was really lovely and all the bands were brilliant. We had a fantastic day.
“Thank you to all those who helped out, everyone worked so hard to make the day happen.”
