THE ROYAL Wedding was enjoyed by men and women, young and old, but a group of boys from Bury St Edmunds were lucky enough to get up close to the event.
Ten members of the Boys’ Brigade in Bury were allocated front row tickets to watch the Royal Wedding procession on Friday.
They were among 250 Boys’ Brigade members nationally who were able to get a prime view of the newly wed couple as they returned to Buckingham Palace from Westminster Abbey.
Samuel Mundell, 13, said: “We all had a great day and really enjoyed seeing the royal procession. The best bit was seeing Prince William and Kate come back in the open carriage”.
The boys also walked down The Mall to stand outside Buckingham Palace and watch as the wedding party appeared on the balcony, where Will and Kate gave their first public kiss as man and wife.
